We are setting up Black Country Atelier: a 3D prototyping workshop and architecture design studio in the Midlands.
The Atelier came out of a realisation that the Midlands has a rich diversity of designers, artists, craftsmen and industry, and that digital production techniques can play an increasingly important role in how people develop and create their work.
We’re looking to get all sorts of cool machines which local designers can use and experiment with. Like the Makerbot 3D printer and other 3D printers and scanners. We’re also desiging our website now which will have links to how to use these machines, and sign up for demonstration classes at the BCA.
So we’re excited here at Black Country Atelier in becoming part of the region’s design community; and we’d love to hear your feedback and comments.
